Information for Travellers going to Cuba from or Via the USA.

UPDATE: 20 NOVEMBER 2024—You will no longer need a Pink Tourist Card. You can obtain an e-visa as usual, but you must adhere to USA travel regulations to visit Cuba.
Information from The Cuban Consulate in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
- If you wish to travel to Cuba with an American passport, you can purchase an e-visa with us online.
- Any traveller can now get a simple e-visa to travel to Cuba but must have a full USA visa to travel directly from the USA to Cuba.
- According to US regulations, people travelling to Cuba (regardless of nationality) through or from the US must fill in a form (affidavit) declaring the reason for their travel under the 12 categories approved by the US Government, which allows its citizens to travel to Cuba.
- We recommend that you visit https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/cuba/entry-requirements and contact your travel agency, tour operator, or airline before travelling to Cuba from or through the USA.

You can now apply for a tourist E-Visa to Cuba from any country. However, if you travel from the USA to Cuba, you must obtain a full USA tourist visa (B-2 Visa). This requirement only applies if your route passes through the USA.
